Writer's Block (TIME)

He put the walls all around her
tried to make her climb
And when she got to the top
he left the ceiling for her to find
No lying - He offered a light
for her plight but he what he
asked for in exchange…
sparked her fury and her rage
She far from quit
Yet close to sane
alarm bells in her mind like shots from a gage
Things kept the same for too long
so she forced it to change...

Thought she’d quick to make haste
but she knew better how to wait
contemplate to make her break
Stole the clock off the wall
and held it ransom while she stalled
there’s a silence then a pause
Chaos
as the ground trembled and sprawled
Out to cover all the other rooms
that he thought
she knew not
was out there
There’s beams and
wood and
concrete
thickening the thin air
Just then it seemed clear:
outta the insanity and depression
She trapped the room that trapped her in a mansion she erect-ed

Repressed it...
but that only made her rise
Yeast in flour with the heat by the side
the baker bit his thumb at her
But she ain’t pay him no mind
They said that good ideas find
You if you sit and wait
I say you make ideas good
When you ready to break away
Break bread amongst the flock
Fly tonight til its light
And tomorrow we dock

Free from myself
So my me’s and I’s
leave only a T behind
Yes I got so much of it
I can afford to brag about time

Making something out of nothing
Jazzy be about her grind
